Q: How do I know that The Car Hero will get me a better deal than I can get for myself?
A:The short answer is that negotiating car deals is our profession and we are very good at what we do. Our experience working inside car dealerships has taught us how dealers make money and the fact that we have been negotiating car deals every day for the last 22+ years gives us a level of experience to provide you the upper hand in negotiating your car deal.
Q: Am I getting the best deal when I have a friend that works at a dealership or a friend refers me to a dealership?
A: You can get a good deal when you are working with
someone connected through a dealership. The question is are you getting the
best deal for yourself?
When there is a friendship or referral involved in a negotiation, most
customers do not get the best deal. This is because the numbers you get from
your friend are the dealers numbers. Most customers will agree to the terms
presented to them to avoid a confrontation. TCH does not negotiate any type of
compensation from any dealer. This enables us to negotiate on your behalf
without any type of relationship getting in the way of us achieving the best
price for you.
Q: How is The Car Hero different from an auto broker service?
A: Dramatically. The Founder once operated an auto brokerage. While a lucrative business, the problem is that brokers are compensated by the dealer, and potentially a variety of sources. This wedges profit into many parts of the deal and compromises your interests. Brokers rarely provide total transparency in pricing and may receive as much as a few thousand dollars on your deal. We believe that today’s consumers are more interested in a new model that eliminates conflicts of interest, has total pricing transparency, and therefore provides assurance that you have received the best deal.
Q: I see websites like True Car that have negotiated prices, so why would I pay for your service?
A: Those sites are free to consumers because the dealerships are paying for leads and is ultimately setting the price you see. We have always been able to get our clients a better price and in some cases thousands more.
Q: I have a friend with auction access, can he get me a better price on a used vehicle?
A: Maybe, but we have seen cars sell at the auction for almost retail value. So just because it was bought at auction doesn't mean it's a great deal. The other problem with this process is you usually don't get to see it, drive it, know what he paid, or the full vehicle history. You really need to know this person very well.
Q: Can you help with a lease?
A: Definitely. These are the most profitable sales for the dealership. A lease has several components and all can be modified. If your not an expert in automobile leases please use my Full Service or Check My Work service.
Q: This seems a little too good to be true. Is it?
A: No. This is a new way of doing business, so we know you may have questions. In time, we are confident you will agree that it is the only way to buy a car.
